Over the past year, with local residents, shopkeepers, organisations of the Marolles and logistics experts we have been exploring how neighbourhood supply could work differently. Because logistics is not some distant infrastructure: it’s something each of us interacts with daily. So why not organise it together? Could supplying a neighbourhood become easier, cleaner, calmer — maybe even fun?
We don’t have the answer yet. But we do know people (who know people). We’ve already mapped 22 initiatives experimenting with alternative ways of moving goods through cities (see our repertoire), and we’ve learned a thing or two about open-ended collective design.
Now we want to bring those people together — people with knowledge of logistics, the Marolles, organising, making and imagining — in our shop on the High Street (yes, rue Haute). Not just to discuss alternatives, but to prototype and realise them together.
The Talkshops are part discussion, part design lab, part collective experiment. We learn from neighbours, artists and expert guests while developing practical alternatives to the way logistics works today. No prior knowledge required — only curiosity, commitment and a willingness to think together.
The first Talkshop takes place in June.
